Open Settings from the FlowDeck menu to adjust the app, your agents, and the tools around your projects. Settings are stored on this Mac; project build settings remain separate and are saved per worktree.

AI and workflow preferences

The AI sections let you choose the agents and models that appear in FlowDeck, set default, utility, and planning agents, and review the tools an agent may use without asking again. You can also decide whether chat shows reasoning and tool calls. AI Workflows contains the Coding Standards and Validation controls. Use them to choose the guidance agents receive and how they check and report their work.

Appearance and reading

The Appearance section controls the system, light, or dark interface mode, window tint, log-viewer theme, and chat and diff-viewer fonts. Changes apply immediately, so you can choose a combination that is comfortable for long reviews.

External Tools

FlowDeck can hand the current worktree to tools already installed on your Mac. In External Tools, select a default editor, diff tool, and terminal. Only installed apps are offered.

Editors

Xcode, Cursor, Visual Studio Code, Nova, and Zed can open a worktree or file.

Diff tools

FileMerge, Kaleidoscope, Beyond Compare, DiffMerge, Meld, and P4Merge can review changes when installed.

Terminals

Ghostty, iTerm2, Terminal, and Warp can open at the worktree root.
Use a worktree’s menu or Open Quickly to send it to the selected editor, diff tool, or terminal. FlowDeck never installs these apps or changes their own settings.

Apple development and Git

Apple Toolchain manages the Xcode versions and simulator platforms available to FlowDeck. Choose a specific project, scheme, configuration, and destination from the project’s build settings; those choices belong to that worktree, not to the global Settings window. The Git and GitHub sections configure generated commit messages, automatic commit or push behavior, pull-request defaults, PR monitoring, and the GitHub connection. These settings support the workflows described in Source Control; they do not override the review steps you choose for an individual change.

Use License to see the license active on this Mac or remove it before moving to a different machine. For activation or account problems, see Support.
Some advanced settings appear only when their corresponding product feature is enabled. If a section is not shown, it is not required for the standard macOS workflow.
